In this sculptural workshop you will be guided by professional artist, Louise Tait, to build your own mini potted head character using white clay. When fired it gives a beautiful natural finish. This class is designed for any skill level... BEGINNERS ESPECIALLY
You will create a clay planter head within the time frame. The pot will then be left to slowly dry out over a period of time, then it will be sent away for firing with a clear glaze finish. Please allow up to 5 wks for the pot to be ready for collection.
*Be aware that this method entails using your fingers and hands continuously and requires some strength for kneading the clay. If you have any conditions (i.e. arthritis, poor hand strength etc...) then this workshop may not be for you.
Suitable for 15yrs + please note under 18's must be accompanied by a paying adult.
All materials will be provided. Including the firing and glazing of the finished piece.
1 x old towel
I suggest that you do not wear good clothes or white as clay stains white, aprons are provided, closed in shoes must be worn.
Please arrive at least 15min prior to class starting this allows you time to calmly settle into the atmosphere, grab a cuppa and it also enables the rest of the class to start on time.
